Professor/ Mohamed Mashadi· Researcher specializing in African affairs and international relations· Head of the African Youth InitiativeMr.

Mohamed Mashadi spoke about the successful Egyptian development model and also added about the various economic resources available in Africa, on the sidelines of the discussion panel “Development Efforts in Africa” Readings in the Challenges and launched by the World Forum for Future Studies in coordination with the African Youth Initiative in cooperation with the African Union Office in Cairo and hosting a number of members of the African diplomatic corps in Cairo and senior political and security experts in a high-level session and meeting amidst an excellent gathering of elite African youth leaders and the session was moderated by Dr. Rania Abu El-Khair and the speakers were Ambassador/ Nader Fath Al-Aleem, Director of the African Union Office in Cairo and senior political and security experts.Development Model in Egypt:Mr. Mohamed Mashadi said, of course, Dr. Rania Abu El-Khair when she mentioned in the speech that was given about the symposium today that there are countries in Africa that have succeeded and there are countries that have not succeeded in development and have other problems, but let me talk today about my country. The point that I will talk about is the development achievements that have occurred in Egypt during the past ten years. With the arrival of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt has adopted at the international level a vision and strategy for a foreign policy based on a balance between our foreign relations, and Egypt has once again returned to its effective role towards our strategic circles, once again towards the African circle, in addition to caring about the African human element, the Arab circle, and the Islamic world.Mr. Mohamed Mashadi added, “On the development level, Egypt has adopted a strategy to achieve the new republic that we dream of, a dignified homeland for all Egyptians. In fact, development efforts in Egypt began since the June 30 revolution carried out by the great Egyptian people when they rallied around their national leadership. They have achieved miraculous accomplishments by all standards and accomplishments, represented in the opening of the New Suez Canal to the ambitious giant project to establish the new administrative capital, which rivals the largest cities in the world in terms of modernity and digitization that the Egyptian government is currently implementing and the projects that will be implemented after that. We have also implemented a very giant network of roads and bridges, unprecedented in the history of the Egyptian state. Not only did we implement roads and bridges, we also established new cities in various governorates of Egypt and developed Egyptian national capabilities in various fields.” Regarding the health file, Mr. Mohamed Mashadi pointed out that we were suffering from a very big problem in Egypt, which is the Hepatitis C virus, and the Egyptian presidency launched the 100 Million Health Initiative to eliminate the Hepatitis C virus. Mr. Mohamed Mashadi explained that this initiative included chronic problems and diseases among the Egyptian human element, and we were able to overcome this virus until we reached a zero result. In a related context, Mr. Mohamed Mashadi also pointed out the presidential initiative that was launched, such as the “Decent Life” initiative, which is the largest community initiative in the history of modern Egypt to reduce the burdens of economic burdens on Egyptian society and provide a decent life for every Egyptian man and woman. The various economic resources available in Africa:Mr. Mohamed Mashadi said that the African continent, as all strategic, political and economic experts have confirmed, has a promising future because the African continent has all the elements of development. If the will and goal are united, the African continent can be qualified to occupy an advanced position among the world’s ranks because we have 40% of the world’s reserves of natural resources in the African continent. If we use these resources properly and work on international companies in a way that preserves our right to these resources and benefits from them for our countries, we will be in a better place.Mr. Mohamed Mashadi , added that the African continent also has a large share and balance of arable land estimated at about 60% unexploited, if the agricultural sector within the African continent is provided with modern and advanced technology and modern and advanced irrigation methods, as well as developing the infrastructure for agricultural industries. The most noteworthy example here is Sudan, a country like Sudan, if the agricultural sector within Sudan is properly exploited, it will be a food basket for more than 500 million people.Mr. Mohamed Mashadi added that there are also large livestock resources within the African continent.Mr. Mohamed Mashadi added that we also have the best of the African continent, which is the African human element, as the African continent represents more than 16% of the world’s population. The African continent also has a huge purchasing power that helps African countries achieve promising economic development. There is also a huge workforce within the African continent. If it is trained, qualified, managed and given the appropriate place for each individual, it will achieve what is required of it in the best way.Watch the speech of Mr. Mohamed Mashadi video on YouTube in the following link: -https://youtu.be/6iWNMIIXJz0?si=v2Xnuko5vtwFcmnFhttps://youtu.be/lmCVT_vmZ_M?si=dTs_DbvIxk2zgIg4
