Especially terrorism, organized crime, epidemics, environmental degradation and the threat of illegal immigration, as well as the continuous pursuit of sustainable development and investment in the African human element in various fields.
Mr. Mohamed Mashadi also explained that these challenges require strenuous efforts to confront them, whether at the societal level through citizens’ awareness of the importance of these responsibilities and issues, confronting them and preserving all their forms, or at the governmental level through the implementation of many major projects implemented by the state or through legislative development, stressing that Egypt has distinguished national experiences in challenges, in a way that enables it to deal with such challenges with the utmost efficiency and find solutions. The process has by transforming such challenges into opportunities that benefit Africans, and that it is the health anxiety and not the patients that we feel that drives African countries to increase readiness to deal with challenges and face any emergency they face.On the economic sideEconomic relations between Egypt and Nigeria began from the first day of Nigeria’s independence, where Nigerians used many Egyptian competencies in many magazines, in the early stages of building the modern state after independence, and in later stages, cooperation in the field of economic and social development became at the forefront of areas of cooperation between the two countries.These relations have been strengthened through the membership of both Egypt and Nigeria in African economic groupings and strategic partnerships, where the two countries joined the Community of Sahelo-Saharan States in 2001, and Egypt also enjoys observer status in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which was established in 1993 and is the largest economic grouping in Africa.And on the cultural side Mr. Mohamed Mashadi said that we are looking forward to new horizons for cooperation between our two brotherly countries for the benefit of our peoples, who are linked by many common denominators, especially in cultural heritage and interest in arts and sports, especially football, which the great Egyptian people participate in, and that since the inauguration of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Egypt has been linked to mutual diplomatic relations with the Federal Republic of Nigeria since its independence. Since then, the two countries have strong ties of continuous cooperation and coordination, and the Egyptian government provides continuous support to the sisterly State of Nigeria in many fields, especially the development sectors and capacity support in the field of capacity building, and Egypt was keen to support Nigerian cadres through training courses organized by the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa in coordination with various government agencies in many fields such as health, judiciary, police, agriculture, education, training diplomats and others. Mashadi pointed out that the African Youth Initiative is a youth initiative, which seeks to invest in the African human element to achieve development and reunification between its various nationalities within the framework of popular diplomacy to strengthen the bonds of rapprochement and consolidate relations and historical roots through various activities that support a culture of peace, tolerance and human fraternity that this initiative is necessary to extend the bridge of cooperation between peoples and for the convergence of cultures and the exchange of civilizations and for acquaintance, which is one of the greatest purposes of cultural diversity, as stipulated in the Holy Qur’an by saying ( وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا) He pointed out that the role of the initiative in transferring and mobilizing support towards continental agreements and programs also drew the ambassador’s attention to the young participants towards opportunities to learn about African affairs towards new horizons and raise the level of relations in the civil and cultural field and increase joint work and cooperation in peace files and various fields of development and investments on the old cultural and political relations that bind the two countries.H.E.
