Critically acclaimed Egyptian actress, Shaza Moharam, relocates to Los Angeles after landing an artist grant in New York Film Academy.
After wrapping filming lead roles in “We Are Your Friends” and “Everything Leading to Here”, films directed by Sabina Alcoccer and Victoria Wang; Moharam is currently preparing a number of new projects including “Zarqa Girl”, a film by Zaid Abu Hamdan, who directed the recent Arab hit “Daughters of Abdul-Rahman”.
Regarding her training in NYFA, Moharam shares she is particularly excited about learning Motion Capture, some of her favorite genres being sci-fi and fantasy.
Moharam starred in the Egyptian/German film “Fakh” by Nada Riyadh and “The Giraffe” by actor/director Ahmed Magdy. After a successful festival run in Cannes, Toronto, Cairo, Marrakech, among others; her performance was hailed as one of the best of the year 2019. She was then selected as a Berlinale Talent 2021, a program led by the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival that recognises outstanding global talent.
Moharam is represented by Fictious in the US and Vamos Talento in the UK.
